Aloo Bhatt-Indian Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup – Rice (cooked with 1 tsp oil and 1 tsp salt)
  • 2 – medium Potatoes cooked, peeled and cubed
  • 2 – Tomatoes chopped
  • 1 – Green Pepper cut small
  • 2 tsp – Peanuts/Cashew (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp – Turmeric
  • For seasoning:
  • 1/2 tsp – Mustard, 1/4 tsp – Hing
  • Ground powder:
  • 1 tsp – channa Dal
  • 1 tsp – Urad Dal
  • 4/5 – Dry Red Chilli
  • 1 stick – Curry Leaves
  • 1 inch – Cinnamon stick
  • 2 -Cloves
  • 2-Cardamoms
  • Marble – sized Tamarind
  • 3 tsp – Desiccated Coconut
  • Garnish: Green Coriander leaves

How to Make Aloo Bhatt

  • Heat 2 tsps oil, and add mustard, hing, nuts. Fry till golden brown.
  • Put in potatoes, green pepper and turmeric, fry for 3 mins.
  • Add tomatoes, salt and cook for 2 mins.
  • Add the ground powder mix.
  • Add rice, mix well and garnish with green coriander.
